General
An abrasive cutting+grinding wheel is a metal removing tool consisting of the abrasive grain and the bonding agent. With the abrasive grain effecting the grinding work it is the task of the bonding to keep the abrasive product bonded. The mechanical consistency of the abrasive wheel is provided by grain to grain bonding links.
Abrasive cutting is a metal cutting process during which small and smallest chips are removed from the work piece by a multitude of bonded abrasive grains of geometrically undefined cutting shape. |
