Rubber bonded abrasive grinding wheels

Rubber bonded abrasive grinding wheels are utilised in instances where the requirements for the sectional view and the dimensional accuracy are high.

Our wide range includes products from 25 mm up to 300 mm in diameter and from 0.12 mm up to 10 mm in thickness.

epending on their quality principally all materials may be cut by our rubber bonded abrasive grinding wheels. The most common materials have been presented in the following listing raising no claim to be complete:

     • Steel    • HSS-Steel    • Copper    • Brass
     • Titanium   • Wolfram    • Molybdenum   • Ceramics

No matter for what application you require the rubber bonded abrasive grinding wheels our flexible production methods are geared towards the solving of difficult problems as well.

Depending on the individual requirement we adjust our recipes in a way that our abrasive grinding wheels will demonstrate exactly the qualities required to comply with their specific scope.

The quality of an abrasive grinding wheel is determined by the resistance of the bonding and by the kind and size of the abrasive grain. The kind of abrasives used are silicium carbide, regular corundum and special fused aluminia in the grain sizes from F54 to F400 (250 µm up to 16.3 µm).

Our rubber bonded abrasive grinding wheels are produced with a minimum thickness tolerance consequently allowing cuts to be made with a very high precision.

The low thickness of the rubber bonded abrasive cutting+grinding wheels allows to effect very narrow cuts.

This is of particular importance to reduce cutting costs when separating expensive materials but also in all cases where narrow cuts are required by the design.
There is the possibility to utilise rubber bonded abrasive grinding wheels both in wet and dry cutting. Wet cutting should be preferred as the downtime of the cutting wheel and the sectional view are considerably improved.

Our rubber bonded abrasive grinding wheels have been homologated with a top working speed of 50 m/seconds and 80 m/seconds.

Based on our experience we recommend the working speed to be between 5 m/second and 50 m/second.
